MEMBER BIO

Greg Kult

I have been an equity partner/shareholder in a large, national law firm and in mid-sized, regional firms, and I previously owned and managed my own firm. I formed Kult Law to bring best practices from those experiences to a model focused on providing senior partner level work at rates tailored to entrepreneurs, small and mid-sized businesses, non-profits, and individual executives and physicians.

I believe in keeping things simple. Complicated legal documents cannot always be avoided, especially in heavily regulated industries like health care. However, personnel policies, counseling documents, and written agreements with employees often do not require “legalese” to be effective and hold up in court. In fact, a lack of complexity often may be more beneficial for the employer. Further, I understand that my client contact must explain my advice to business colleagues with a variety of non-legal backgrounds. I try to convey my recommendations in terms that are easy to digest and implement.

I believe in being proactive. Drawing on my experience as a legal counselor, advocate, and business owner, I strive to help businesses resolve workforce challenges before they evolve into expensive litigation. When it comes to employee discipline, I partner with employers in an effort to salvage the relationship or structure a defensible separation. When litigation cannot be avoided, I ask clients about their goals at the earliest stages to assist with effective strategy development and budgeting.

I enjoy teaching and training. I coach leadership teams, managers, and supervisors, and I have presented at several seminars providing attorneys and human resources professionals with professional education credits.

I have been selected by my peers for recognition by Best Lawyers in America 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024; Indiana Super Lawyers 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023; and Best Lawyers Best Law Firm Rankings 2023, 2024.
