Kult Law, LLC (“Kult Law”) is committed to protecting the confidentiality and privacy of your information. This Privacy Policy describes how Kult Law handles personal information that you provide. Because Kult Law is a law firm, the information that Kult Law obtains through representing clients may be subject to requirements or protected in ways not covered by this Privacy Policy.

What Kult Law collects

Kult Law collects information about you when you provide it and when your use of this website results in automatic collection. Examples of information that you provide might include:

  • If Kult Law agrees to represent you as a client, any information that you provide in the course of such representation. Clients are responsible for obtaining any consent required in connection with providing Kult Law with any information (including, but not limited to, any information relating to a third party). 

  • Information that you provide to sign up to receive Kult Law updates or other information, or that you provide at educational or other events.

A domain name, IP addresses, and other unique identifiers might be collected automatically when you use this website; however, Kult Law does not intentionally collect information about you automatically, and Kult Law does not analyze, use, or sell data that may be automatically collected through your use of this website.

How Kult Law uses what it collects

Kult Law may use your personal information for any legitimate business purpose consistent with applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, conducting business operations and responding to requests for information. Examples of when Kult Law may use such information follow:  

  • If Kult Law has a contract with you, to perform under that contract

    • Running conflict checks and completing business intake procedures,

    • marketing

How Kult Law shares what it collects

Kult Law may share information about a client within Kult Law and with approved contractors as necessary to provide services that Kult Law has agreed to provide to that client.

Kult Law works with third parties to help provide services, such as website and data hosting companies. Kult Law engages such third parties to help it operate, provide, and market its services. These entities may use your information only to perform these tasks on Kult Law’s behalf. If Kult Law becomes aware that a third party that it has engaged is using or disclosing information improperly, Kult Law will take commercially reasonable steps to end or correct such improper use or disclosure.

You may ask Kult Law to update, modify, or delete information about you and to withdraw any consent you may have granted to Kult Law. Your rights to access such information may vary depending upon your jurisdiction. 

Please understand that requests to delete or remove your information do not necessarily ensure complete removal, and removed information may remain in backup copies.

Kult Law may keep information it receives about you as long as appropriate to the purposes for which the information was collected; or for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival, and audit purposes; or as otherwise required by law. In addition, Kult Law may delete personal information about you from its systems in accordance with its data retention practices.

Security

Kult Law takes commercially reasonable steps to secure and protect the privacy, accuracy, and reliability of your information as required by applicable Rules of Professional Conduct and laws applicable to Kult Law. Because no transmission of information over the Internet or electronic storage of information is completely secure, it is possible that your information could be lost, misused or accessed, altered, destroyed or disclosed without authorization, even if Kult Law uses such reasonable efforts. In providing information to Kult Law, you must assume the risk that your information could be lost, misused or accessed, altered, destroyed or disclosed without authorization.

Kult Law may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of this Privacy Policy will govern how we handle your information and will be located on the Kult Law website.
